EXPLORATIONS #07: TRANSFORMATIONS ON THE FARM
Adding value through developing new products, services and/or
experiences.
Saturday, 07 December 2019, 10.00 – 16.00.
This workshop aims to discuss current practices and experiments that help add new value on the farm. Bringing together different disciplines, the workshop will help facilitate idea and concept generation on potential new food, non-food and other products, services and/or experiences. The aspiration is to go well beyond current ideas of “territorial branding” towards a wider imaginary of productive activities on the farm. We at muu-baa believe that each farm in South Tyrol is unique but also shares a common heritage, practices and economic circumstances. The uniqueness of each farm is grounded in the land, soil, farming history and the personality of the farmer who possesses “situated knowledge”. We believe that designers and artists can collaborate with farmers to unlock potential for developing new products, services and/or experiences that relate to his/her distinct terroir, territory and time.
BENEFITS of attending:
Find new ways to see and imagine the potentiality of resources on your farm.
Collectively understand how we can accelerate experimentation and find better support in South Tyrol.
Learn about the new muu-baa network and meet members.
Workshop facilitation will be a mixture of English, German and Italian.
